In a Blink:
We discontinue offering support for the Blinkist app on iOS devices running iOS 13 from September 19th 2022, with the next app release. This means that users with the iOS 13 version on their iOS device won't be able to update to Blinkist app versions higher than 7.6.0.
Why?
With new devices coming out each year, sometimes it can be hard to keep up with the speed at which technology advances. In order to provide our iOS users with the best Blinkist app experience, we've decided to stop supporting iOS 13. We'll no longer be able to fix any issues that are reported on iOS devices running 13.0.
Anything you need to do?
We advise our iOS users running iOS 13 to upgrade to a higher iOS version, ideally the latest version. By doing this you'll gain access to all the latest updates and features - giving you the best experience of the Blinkist app!
What's the new minimum supported iOS mobile devices?
The minimum requirement for iOS devices supported by the Blinkist app is iOS version 14.0 or later.
What if your device doesn't support iOS 14?
There won't be an immediate effect for you on the iOS 13 versions, however we recommend upgrading to a newer version of the iOS operating system.
If your device doesn't support any of the new iOS versions, you should know that:
New features will not be supported on devices running iOS 13
You can still use or download Blinkist app version 7.6.0 - however, we will eventually drop support for it
Existing Blinkist users on iOS 13 will be able to continue using the Blinkist app version 7.6.0, even after the next release.
