In a Blink: We discontinue offering support for the Blinkist app on iOS devices running iOS 12 from March 2021. This means that users with the iOS 12 version on their iOS device won't be able to update to Blinkist app versions higher than 6.24.0.
Why?
With new devices coming out each year, sometimes it can be hard to keep up with the speed at which technology advances. In order to provide our iOS users with the best Blinkist app experience, we've decided to stop supporting iOS 12. We'll no longer be able to fix any issues that are reported on iOS devices running 12.0.
Anything you need to do?
We advise our iOS users running iOS 12 to upgrade to a higher iOS version, ideally the latest version By doing this you'll gain access to all the latest updates and features - giving you the best experience of the Blinkist app!
What's the new minimum supported iOS mobile devices?
The minimum requirement for iOS devices supported by the Blinkist app is iOS version 13.0 or later.
What if your device doesn't support iOS 13?
There won't be an immediate effect for you on the iOS 12 versions, however we recommend upgrading to a newer version of the iOS operating system.
If your device doesn't support any of the new iOS versions, you should know that:
New features will not be supported on devices running iOS 12
You can still use or download Blinkist app version 6.24.0 - however, we will eventually drop support for it
Existing Blinkist users on iOS 12 will be able to continue using the Blinkist app version 6.24.0, even after March 2021.
