If your vehicle supports Apple CarPlay, you can access Blinkist directly from your car's dashboard display, and make the most of your commute by turning drive time into learning time with Blinkist and CarPlay.

Checking CarPlay Compatibility

Before getting started, verify that your vehicle supports CarPlay using one of these methods:

  • Consult your documentation: Check your owner's manual or visit your car manufacturer's website to confirm CarPlay is available in your model

  • Inspect your USB ports: Look for ports marked with a smartphone or CarPlay icon

  • Test the connection: Connect your iPhone via USB cable and check if the CarPlay interface appears on your infotainment screen

  • Visit Apple's website: Browse the official CarPlay compatibility list to find supported vehicles and manufacturers

CarPlay and Android Devices

Apple CarPlay is exclusively compatible with iPhones and cannot be used with Android devices. If you're an Android user, Android Auto offers similar functionality and integrates with Android smartphones in much the same way.

Setting Up CarPlay

Follow these steps to activate CarPlay in your vehicle:

  1. Start your car and make sure Siri is enabled on your iPhone.

  2. Connect your iPhone to your car using a USB cable. Some cars also support wireless CarPlay—check your car’s manual to see if it’s compatible.

  3. Your car’s display should automatically show the CarPlay interface. If not, look for the CarPlay logo on your car’s infotainment system and select it.

  4. Follow any on-screen instructions on your car’s display and your iPhone.

  5. Once set up, you can use CarPlay with Siri voice control, touch screen, or your car’s controls.

Listening to Blinkist via CarPlay

With CarPlay activated, simply launch the Blinkist app from your car's display. You can:

  • Browse your library

  • Discover new Blinks

  • Play audio content using voice commands or touch controls

  • Keep your eyes on the road while learning
