Understanding Session Types

What's the difference between Coaching Sessions and Expert Sessions?

  • Coaching Sessions are interactive workshops led by professional coaches focusing on skill-building topics like leadership, communication, productivity, and personal development. These sessions include interactive exercises and focus on actionability and putting learnings into practice.

  • Expert Sessions are conversations with authors from our Blinkist library. These are presentations plus Q&A-style discussions where you can engage directly with the minds behind the books you love.

How do I know which type of session I am registering for?

Check the banner and/or session description when you register! Coaching Sessions will be hosted by our leadership coaches while Expert Sessions will feature an author name and book title in the description.

Replays and Session Materials

Which sessions are recorded? Will I get a replay?

  • Coaching Sessions: Not recorded. If you attend, you will receive the presentation slides via email after the session.

  • Expert Sessions: Recorded and available as replays! You will receive the recording via email after the session as long as you register, whether you attended or not.

Why aren't Coaching Sessions recorded?

Coaching Sessions are designed to be interactive, live experiences where participants engage in real-time exercises and discussions. To create a safe, confidential space for learning and sharing, we do not record these sessions.

The good news: Coaching Sessions are repeated several times throughout the year, so you will have multiple opportunities to attend if you miss one!

How do I receive slides or replays?

Both slides and recordings are sent automatically via email from [email protected] within 24 hours after the session.

Pro tip: Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see the email! Some users expect it to come from a Blinkist email address, but it will come from Livestorm, our webinar platform. Consider adding [email protected] to your contacts.

Scheduling and Access

What if a session is scheduled at an inconvenient time for my timezone?

We do our best to accommodate different time zones by offering sessions at various times.

  • For Coaching Sessions: Since these are repeated throughout the year, you can register for a future session that works better for your schedule.

  • For Expert Sessions: You will receive the replay via email as long as you are registered, so you can watch at your convenience!

Can I access Blinkist Live sessions from the mobile app?

Currently, Blinkist Live sessions are accessible through our website. We are working on making it easier to view Live sessions on the mobile app soon—stay tuned!

Registration and Technical Support

I registered but didn't receive a confirmation email. What should I do?

First, check your spam or junk folder for an email from [email protected]. If you still cannot find it, contact us at [email protected] and we will help you out!

I am experiencing technical issues during a session. Who can help?

We recommend you join with Google chrome browser (Safari, Firefox, and others are also possible) from a desktop or laptop computer. If you have trouble entering the session, check your browser settings and internet connection. You can find more specific troubleshooting information for accessing livestorm here.

If you are having trouble logging in or experiencing technical difficulties during a Live session, please email [email protected] with details about the issue. Our team will work to resolve it as quickly as possible.
