We'll discontinue offering support for the Blinkist app on iOS devices running iOS 14 with the next release. This means that users with the iOS 14 version on their iOS device won't be able to update to Blinkist app versions higher than version 8.6.0.
Why?
With new devices coming out each year, sometimes it can be hard to keep up with the speed at which technology advances. In order to provide our iOS users with the best Blinkist app experience, we've decided to stop supporting iOS 14. We'll no longer be able to fix any issues that are reported on iOS devices running 14.0.
Anything you need to do?
We advise our iOS users running iOS 14 to upgrade to a higher iOS version, ideally the latest version. By doing this you'll gain access to all the latest updates and features - giving you the best experience of the Blinkist app!
What's the new minimum supported iOS mobile devices?
The minimum requirement for iOS devices supported by the Blinkist app is iOS version 15.0 or later.
What if your device doesn't support iOS 15?
There won't be an immediate effect for you on the iOS 14 versions, however we recommend upgrading to a newer version of the iOS operating system.
If your device doesn't support any of the new iOS versions, you should know that:
New features will not be supported on devices running iOS 14.
With iOS 14 you'll still be able to use and download the Blinkist app version 8.6.0 - however, we will eventually drop support for it.
