You should always be able to use what you paid for! In most cases, the issue can be solved by using one of the solutions described below.

Have you purchased the subscription via the Apple APP Store or the Google Play Store?

  • In case you purchased the subscription a while ago:
Please make sure you’re logged in with the correct account that you used to purchase the subscription originally.

  • In case you have purchased the subscription and couldn’t access your account immediately afterwards:
Sometimes a successful in-app-purchase doesn't get “reported" to our servers when the connection lags at the wrong time. Please try to restore your purchases through the Restore Purchase feature, which you’ll find in Blinkist’s settings.

A step-by-step guide can be found here: How can I restore my purchase?

Have you purchased a subscription via the website and can’t access it through the mobile apps?

  • Usually this can be solved by simply logging out and in again.

  • If that doesn't work, you’ve probably signed up and purchased a subscription with a different email address (or made a typo when you signed up the first time).
Please make sure you’re using the correct email address to log in.

None of the above worked? You might have a private Apple login.

In that case, your subscription might be stored in an account under a private Apple log-in address.
If you own an iOS device it's possible that when you first signed up, you selected the option to "Sign in with Apple" and chose to do so privately, by using the "Hide my Email" feature. In such cases, Apple assigns you a randomly generated email address for your login: this address is connected to your inbox and has the following format: [email protected]. This is a completely safe and standard procedure from Apple and more information about this can be found here.

To verify whether this is the case, please log out of the app and log in again using the option "Sign in with Apple". If this gives you access to your subscription, please navigate to your account settings, tap on "Update Email" and send us a screenshot of your private login address via [email protected] so we can help you further.
